Freshen up with Travertine pavers
Travertine pavers remain one of Cave’s best selling stones, thanks to our large range of sizes and beautiful cream colours to choose from. Zaha Classic, available in tumbled and honed / filled options, is among the most popular of our pavers (pictured here tumbled and using our 1.2 French pattern set). Ticking the boxes for durability and versatility, our travertine pavers are non-slip, naturally salt resistant and chlorine safe, making them perfect for outdoor settings including swimming pool areas, patios and balconies. With bullnose edging tiles available, Cave’s pavers are perfect for pool coping. Popular applications for our pavers include interior and exterior flooring, stair treads, countertops, courtyards, driveways, pathways, patios, pool surrounds, pool coping and more.
Cave’s stylish range of travertine and limestone natural stone tiles are suitable for both interior and exterior projects. So it’s easy to find a unique look that integrates seamlessly into contemporary or traditional designs, for your next residential or commercial project. Why not look beyond traditional cream and discover our silver Renzo travertine pavers. The stunning variations of silver hues can create a striking and on-trend contrast by surrounding a deep blue pool or edging a lush green garden. Contact the Cave team today to find out more.
Sandstone - wide range of natural stone pavers and tiles at Cave The Home of Stone
Australia’s love affair with sandstone spans generations, with the hard wearing and long-lasting stone incorporated into many timeless Australian designs.
With the sedimentary layers creating stunning and unique colour variations, the individuality of each paver can produce beautiful colour tone effects, that won’t fade or discolour.
Coupled with remarkable durability, weather resistance and easy maintenance, Sandstone is becoming an increasingly popular choice for commercial projects with Cave.
So we’re especially delighted to welcome a beautiful new sandstone to the Cave range. Imported from China, Moreton is a stunning beige stone and joins the much loved Stradbroke, our classic Australian sandstone (pictured).
Our sandstone pavers and tiles come in an array of colours and textures and are cut in a way that brings out their colour tones; the sedimentary layers of the sandstone create a unique colour variation that adds to the individuality of each paver. With a wide range of size options available, our sandstones do come from big blocks so are also easily customisable, to meet whatever your requirements are in terms of size and coping detail.
Bluestone Limestone Beauty
Bluestone Limestone pavers are the latest tiles to arrive at Cave The Home of Stone. Called Coldstream, the new pavers join our popular Travertine and Limestone collection and are available in a wide range of sizes as well as a 1.2 pattern set.
With a non-slip surface, salt resistance and durable nature, our Coldstream range is perfect for indoor and outdoor use, particularly in and around swimming pools, outdoor entertainment areas and indoor wet areas. Whereas most limestones are lighter, creamy shades, Cave’s beautiful Coldstream bluestone limestone pavers are so named due to the dark blue-grey colour, which can contrast beautifully with a deep blue swimming pool or lush green garden design.
Did you know, the term ‘Bluestone’ itself is a misnomer as many countries apply the term based on the colour of a stone, rather than its geological rock type. In America the definition is often determined by region, with the best known variety being Pennsylvania Bluestone, a feldspathic sandstone quarried around Pennsylvania and New York.
In Australia, Bluestone most often refers to basalt or olivine basalt stone like our Bluestone Basalt range. Favoured from the 1850’s gold rush era and quarried from around inner and regional Victoria, significant basalt examples include the old Melbourne Gaol, St Patrick’s Catherdral, Melbourne Grammer School, Princess bridge, Hawthorn bridge and in many cobbled Melbourne CBD lanes. Because of its distinctive qualities, post-modern Melbourne buildings have also made use of nostalgic bluestone basalt, including the Southgate complex and apartments such as the Melbournian.
Sourced from Turkey, our Coldstream range is a unique and exotic stone that must be seen to truly appreciate it’s beauty. Check out the rest of our Travertine and Limestone collection and contact the Cave team today to discuss your project needs.
